Anthony
Nothing represents the joys of childhood better than Saturdays at the park. I was thrilled to spend the morning with my adorable new friend Anthony. Naturally, in such an exciting place the last thing he wanted to do was sit and pose for the camera. I realized that I had to step up my game to keep up with Anthony's contagious energy. With endless equipment at his disposal and a cool mom who didn't mind a bit of sand, Anthony's natural excitement was hard to miss. I was sad to part with this happy little boy who had to rush to make it to not one, but two parties. However, I'm not surprised that such a sweet guy is so popular! I'm glad I had the chance to capture Anthony and his mom, in a setting that seemed so familiar and natural to them. I was also lucky enough to take pictures at Anthony's first birthday last month...check back for highlights from that fun day. Thanks for stopping by...enjoy!

Anais
With her high school graduation approaching, Anais and I thought it would be fun to put our own twist on the traditional senior portrait. This period right before college is an interesting time to capture, because of the ambition and hope brought on by the transition. The variety of expression in Anais’ session really reflects the crossroads between youth and adulthood. She had great ideas and was not afraid to display her individuality and authentic character. For safety purposes, I had to turn down her awesome offer to swing upside down from a tree. Throughout the session I couldn't avoid the nostalgia associated with this hopeful time. I faced the bittersweet realization that her graduation marks exactly a decade since I left high school (yikes)! When she looks back ten years from now, I hope these photos will help Anais hold on to the youthful and inspired energy she emanates today. Here are the highlights from our shoot. Thanks for stopping by...enjoy!
